Do I have to be a member of the YM-YWHA to take a course, like swimming or adult leisure?
While it’s preferable to be a Y member to take courses (Y members get a discount on courses, as well as access to indoor, underground parking), you do not have to be a Y member to register for courses.

Do I have to be Jewish to join the YM-YWHA?
Everyone is welcome to become a member of the Y.

I am a single parent on a limited income. How can my children and I afford to be a member of the Y?
No one is turned away from becoming a Y member due to financial difficulties. We have a person specially designated to meet with you, discuss your situation, and figure out a payment option or scholarship plan.

Can I use your computer drop-in centre if I am not a member of the YM-YWHA?
The computer centre is open to everyone.

I am a member of the YM-YWHA Snowdon branch but I work in the West Island. Can I use the West Island
Yes, members of the YM-YWHA on Westbury Ave., may also have access to the West Island branch. However, members of the West Island branch do not have access to the Westbury location.

Do I have to bring my own towel and lock when I work out?
Bronze and Silver members must bring their own locks and towels. Health club members receive complementary towels to be used on premises, but must provide their own locks for lockers.

Is there a place to eat at the YM-YWHA?
Yes, the Snowdon branch has a large, Kosher restaurant (Dizengoff) and a smaller kiosk in the Atrium where a wide variety of food is available for purchase.

Is the YM-YWHA wheelchair accessible?
Yes, there are elevators, plus a ground-floor entrance to the fitness facilities.
