Apple Crumble Recipe

Marni Schlomowitz (YCC Director) and her daughter, Morgan share their Apple Crisp recipe with us. Trust us your family will ask for seconds.


In a bowl combine:

6 Apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1/2 Cup of sugar
1/2 Teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 Teaspoon of nutmeg
2 Teaspoons of lemon juice
Pour into a greased 1-1/2 quart casserole

In a bowl, blend until crumbly:
1/2 Cup of sugar
3/4 Cup cake meal
1/8 Teaspoon of salt
6 Tablespoons of margarine
Add (optional) 1/4 cup of chopped nuts.
Sprinkle mixture over apples.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hours until crust is nicely browned.
Serve hot.
