The current COVID-19 pandemic, is a serious virus that can be just as harmful on our mental health as it can be on our physical one. One of the greatest challenges to our mental health is our lack of control over this situation. We are placing a lot of trust in our health officials and government, to both protect and inform us on how to keep ourselves safe.
Girls can face an endless amount of body issue challenges during their teenage years. Our Fit for Girls program gives girls aged 12 to 17 years old an opportunity to learn about health and wellness, and to exercise in a structured, safe environment.
So how do we stay fit when we’re constantly surrounded by temptation? We turned to our very own professionals, who work in our Fitness, Recreation and Sports department for advice.
