No Excuses – Intro to Strength Training

(One FREE session per month exclusively for Annual Y-Fit and Health Club Members!)

Not sure where to start? Our No Excuses workshop is the perfect introduction to strength training! Led by Y Fitness professionals, this FREE 55-minute session covers five fundamental exercises to help you gain confidence and master the equipment. Plus, you’ll receive a detailed exercise chart to keep you on track!

Strength training (a.k.a. weight training or resistance training) is a powerful tool for improving bone density, enhancing overall health, and even boosting cognitive function. It improves insulin sensitivity, reduces injury risk, and helps prevent falls.

Group Strength and Circuit Training Instructor Certification

Group Strength & Circuit Training is designed to build the fitness professional’s knowledge of group strength activity programming, and to prepare them to lead and teach a variety of group strength & circuit-style classes. Students will also learn to modify strength exercises for varying fitness levels and special populations.
