  • Last entry permitted is 20 minutes before closing.
  • Locker Rooms close 15 minutes after closing.

Members who have parking privileges may use the garage for a maximum of 3 hours per visit.

Parking cards are not transferable (applies to members and Governors).

  • Parking Garage opens 15 minutes before fitness facility hours.
  • Parking Garage closes 15 minutes after closing.

Members must access the facilities and locker rooms with their membership fob. Replacements are available for a fee.

Group Fitness classes will run on a modified schedule as posted online HERE

  • 0-5 may access opposite-gender locker rooms. Ages 6+ must use same-gender locker rooms. Family locker rooms are available on the pool deck.
  • 0-11 are not permitted entry to the fitness facilities. They must be accompanied by an adult at all times when on the premises including the pool. Members of this age may be accompanied to the pool by a non-paying guardian. Additional guests accompanying junior members must pay $5 for pool access.
  • 12-14 must attend Teen Orientation before they can use the fitness facilities alone. Teen Orientation is a 15-minute guided walk-through of the fitness facilities to be scheduled directly with sgoffman@ymywha.com . Teens will learn safe use of the equipment,  gym rules and regulations, and proper gym etiquette. Once a teen has received their orientation, they will be able to fob into the facility.
  • 15+ full independent access.

We modify our policies to comply with Public Health directives. Members are expected to comply with these regulations.

Anyone age 16+ may sign a membership contract if they have a valid method of payment. Parents or legal guardians must sign on behalf of anyone 15 years of age or younger, or on behalf of ages 16 & 17 if the parent is the payor.

Cancellation

Within 36 days of start date : Contract may be cancelled without penalty. Members entitled to a prorated reimbursement if applicable going forward from the date of cancellation.

After 36 days of start date: Members who wish to break their contract must pay a penalty ($15 for Y Fit, $35 for Health Club) for each month remaining in their contract. The penalty fee is to be paid in full at the time of cancellation. There will be no refund for paid time whether or not it has been or will be used.

Downgrade & Upgrade

Within 36 days of start date: Your contract may be downgraded without penalty.

After 36 days of start date: Switching from Health Club to Y Fit carries a penalty of $20 per month remaining, to be paid in full at the time the downgrade takes effect. The downgraded membership resets to a full year from the downgrade date. Upgrades incur no penalty.

Guest Passes

Each Y Fit membership (ages 12+) includes 4 guest passes per membership year, carryover permitted.
Health Club membership includes 8 guest passes to the Health Club per membership year, carryover permitted.
Members’ guests are required to enter with the member and are the responsibility of the member. We gather email and telephone information from all guests using the facilities.

Medical Cancellation

Cancellation of membership is permitted with a signed note from a medical or paramedical professional, and the cancellation fee will be waived. Get well soon! You will not be charged an initiation fee when you rejoin. Note that we do not offer medical freezes.

Membership Dues

All memberships are charged a one-time initiation fee which is added to the first membership installment. 

Junior and Inclusion memberships are charged in one installment. All other annual memberships are charged every 30 days over 12 installments, by electronic cheque (direct bank withdrawals), Visa, or MasterCard. 

Membership Freeze

If a member will be absent for an extended period, they can pay a Freeze Fee to put their membership and payments on hold, provided:

  • Request must include the start and end date of the freeze,
  • Freeze must be a minimum of two months,
  • Freeze may only be requested once per membership year,
  • Freeze Fee will be charged immediately ($50 Y Fit; $100 Health Club, regardless of the duration of freeze).

Monthly payments will be paused during absence and will resume on the set date of return.

NSF Policy

Members whose monthly debit payments do not go through, or whose credit cards are declined on the 2nd try, will be charged a $15 admin fee and will be notified. Members with NSF on file who have been cancelled may start a new membership provided they pay the cancellation fee/admin fees owed on file.

One-Month Membership

One-month Health Club memberships include indoor parking.

One-month Y Fit memberships are not eligible for indoor parking.

One-month members are not entitled to member pricing or complimentary guests and are not eligible for refunds.

Referral Program

All paying members who are 18+ receive
$50 credit (total) for successfully referring a new annual Y Fit member who is 18+.
$100 credit (total) for successfully referring a new annual Health Club member who is 18+.

The person joining receives a $50 (Y Fit) or $100 (Health Club) discount on their membership. The referring member will receive their credit 36 days after the new member joins provided they have retained their membership.
The credit will be applied to membership dues and has no cash value /cannot be refunded.
For a referral discount, the new member must be someone who was not an annual member in January 2021 or later. This can be combined with promotions (for referrer and referee).

Refunds

Refunds for membership will not be granted for a period that has already passed regardless of whether it was used. Refunds are not granted for junior, inclusion, or one-month memberships.

Registration is not permitted once 50% of the program has passed. Programming refund requests must be made in writing prior to the start date of the program’s third class and are subject to a $15 administrative fee. Refunds will not be granted for services or classes that have already taken place whether or not the participant attended. Participants will be refunded the prorated amount for the remaining classes, less the $15 administrative fee. Insufficient registration numbers may result in a program cancellation, in which case a full refund will be issued.

Renewals

Members will be contacted within one month of their anticipated renewal date. Members may renew using our online membership system, by phone, or in person.

Annual Members have priority registration and benefit from member rates, approximately 18% lower than the standard rates for programs and 10% lower for day camps and birthday parties. Registration for a program is not complete until we have received payment. Places will not be held for unpaid registrants.

PROGRAM AND RECREATION GUIDE

The administrative fee will be waived if the client opts for credit on his account rather than refund. Refunds will not be granted for services or classes that have already taken place whether or not the participant attended. Insufficient registration numbers may result in a program cancellation, in which case a full refund will be issued.

Tickets for one-time events are non-refundable and non-transferable.

A permanent locker option is available for all annual and single-month members starting at $6 per month. 

Towel service  is available for all annual and single-month members for $12 per month (max 3 towels per visit).

Bathrobes are not included and are strictly reserved for Health Club members.

Vending machines are located by the Fitness Desk and in the Atrium.
