What do you teach at the Y?
I teach all types of classes and levels, except Zumba. Presently, I’m teaching Yoga Eldoa, Spin, SGT and one-on-one private training.
What is the best part of being a fitness trainer?
Seeing changes in my students’ level of performance shows me their dedication and commitment as they keep coming back each week.
How do you stay motivated?
My students are very appreciative and they show it. I’m driven and I lead by example.
What have you learned from Covid-19 in terms of teaching and connecting with members?
Training and eating healthy consistently is the key. They work together.
Do you have a favourite type of workout? If so what is it and why?
I do not have a favourite class or workout. I believe in doing a variety of workouts to get the best overall performance and help avoid injuries. The key is to never lose interest in yourself.
What is your favourite new feature, space and/or equipment at the newly renovated Y? And why?
I really like the small group training space.
